What does this indicator measure?

This indicator measures the change in Housing Density in Onondaga County from 1950 to 2010, and the population vs the urbanized area from 1950 to 2000.  Housing Density is measured by comparing the population per square mile to the number of housing units per square mile.  The population density in Syracuse is growing, as is the urbanized area as a result.
